The Friends of the Bellaire Library presented a check in the amount of $12,000 to the City of Bellaire at the City Council meeting held on Monday, February 20, 2012.  The funds will be used in support of the Bellaire Library programs, including the Summer Reading Program. The Friends, an all volunteer organization, raise funds each year in order to make an annual donation to the Bellaire Library. Volunteers are always welcome!

The Friends of the Bellaire Library was established in 1951 by the Bellaire Women’s Civic Club as a not-for-profit organization, devoted to the establishment, support, and enhancement of the Bellaire City Library.  In addition to annual dues from members, the Friends raise funds by holding used book sales during the year.
